The Leitrim Gathering will be a celebration of Leitrim people all over the world, to embrace all that is great about our County. This weekend of events is scheduled for 23rd to 25th May 2025 and is being organised by Leitrim County Council as part of the implementation of its Diaspora Strategy.

The Leitrim Gathering aims to promote the rich cultural, historical, and musical tradition of the county by connecting Leitrim people worldwide. Engaging the Leitrim diaspora, increasing visitor numbers and welcoming all those who have made Leitrim their home, are key objectives of “The Leitrim Gathering”.

To mark this historic occasion, the Leitrim Gathering have launched a competition at the Irish Fest, Milwaukee offering the chance to win a trip to the Leitrim Gathering 2025. The prize includes a pair of flights and a 7-night stay at the luxury Drumhierny Woodland Hideaway, set on 100 acres of woodland. These sustainable lodges with cutting edge modern design are the ideal accommodation to immerse yourself in the unspoilt landscape of Lovely Leitrim, also included in the prize is an unforgettable visit to The Shed Distillery Experience, home of the Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin!
